seeking you | day three

A while ago, I met a sweet girl named Rhianna on Tumblr and have been writing letters and encouraging each other in Christ ever since. I've been hoping I could visit her in Charlotte and finally got the opportunity to explore her city with her and a few of her closest friends.

First we met her and her husband, Sam, at Elevation Church and had such a great worship experience. The music was incredibly moving and the message was so relevant to both Emily and I. The guest speaker was Craig Groeschel from Life Church and he spoke about the power of Christ that dwells within us. "Christians pray prayers that are too general and too small." Our God is a God of power who aches to move in bold ways in our lives! What a way to start this adventure!

Afterwards, we grabbed coffee and roamed the city for a bit talking about our Creator and the seasons He has each of us in. It was truly refreshing to feel so loved and known by everyone we met.

I'm posting this so late because we just got to Corrie's house after playing card games for hours. I can't believe how much community I experienced in only twelve hours of Charlotte.

Today's lessons:

Love isn't what God does, Love is who He is

Seasons change

Growth is painful and wonderful

Be present in the moments God designs for us

An open heart is beautiful

Charlotte has better coffee than you'd believe

Until next time, Charlotte.

ever free, ever true, ever kind.
